Scientific paper

A synthesis of 20 star catalogs incorporating astrolabe observations made during the period 1958-1975 provides corrections for the positions given by the fundamental catalog FK4. The astrolabe observations range from declination values of minus 63.6 deg to plus 79.6 deg. Right ascensions and declination corrections have been developed for 1139 FK4 catalog stars which exhibit important systematic discrepancies from the astrolabe data.
