We report results of a survey conducted with the Green Bank Telescope (GBT) and the Very Large Array (VLA) intended to search for 6 cm formaldehyde (H2CO) masers toward young massive star forming regions. The GBT observations were mainly carried out toward regions without strong 6 cm radio continuum to minimize confusion due to extended H2CO absorption, whereas the VLA was used to observe regions whose single dish (GBT or Arecibo) H2CO spectra were consistent with H2CO absorption partially filled with emission. We report the discovery of H2CO 6 cm maser emission toward G23.71-0.20 (IRAS 18324-0820): the fifth H2CO maser region discovered in the Galaxy. This work is supported by a GBT Student Support Fellowship, and the NSF grant AST-0454665.
