Data on the proper motion and heliocentric distance are used to determine the Galactocentric orbit and tidal radius of the globular cluster M 71 (NGC 6838). The method proposed by Naumova and Ogorodnikov (1973) is used to determine its mass. The results indicate that: (1) the cluster practically moves in the Galactic plane along a low-eccentricity orbit; (2) the tidal radius is within the limits of 19-46 pc; and (3) the mass is greater than or equal to 30,000 solar masses.
