Radiative Transfer
Scientific paper
An exact solution of the time-independent stochastic radiative transfer problem in non-scattering and scattering (only the rod problem) media is presented. A fairly complete statistical description of the problem under investigation is given. The exact equations for the probability density functions of transmission (reflection) or their higher order moments are represented. These results are valid for any statistics of medium. To solve this problem a functional description of random media is used.
