HD 132209 (A9/F0 IV/V) is announced to be a new δ Scuti star of moderate amplitude (ΔV ≳ 0.10 mag). Over 100 hr of photometric observations obtained during 18 nights in 1980 with both Johnson V and B filters are presented. A frequency analysis of the V light variations is reported in which four frequencies, f= 6.328, 7.891, 11.631 and 12.289 day-1, are identified. These four frequencies do not provide a complete description of the variability of HD 132209. An inconclusive discussion of the modes associated with those four frequencies is made in which it is suggested that the frequency of highest amplitude,f= 6.328 day-1, is probably associated with fundamental radial pulsation. This bright (mpg = 6.1) δ Scuti star is a good candidate for further study.
