A singly focussing X-ray reflector system designed for rocket observation of cosmic X-ray sources is described. The reflector has an angular resolution of one arc minute in X-rays. Focussing properties of this reflector as measured in the laboratory with X-rays and visible light are discussed and the response observed as the flight instrument was scanned over the galactic X-ray source, Sco X-1, is presented.
