X-ray all sky monitors (ASMs) have made significant contributions to the advancement of X-ray astronomy by discovering new and unexpected objects which other powerful and narrow FOV instruments can point to and by monitoring the long term variability of known objects. In this talk I will describe a concept for a focusing ASM that represents a significant improvement over previous ASMs in discovering and monitoring faint sources, both galactic and extra-galactic. I will illustrate the design concept with simulations and present its scientific capabilities and resource requirements in the context of a mission with a large narrow FOV instrument.
