A new elongated radio source, G359.1 - 0.2, has been found within 1 deg of the Galactic center. Observations with the Australia Telescope Compact Array and the VLA show it to be filamentary, extending more than 20 arcmin in length but only 10 arcsec wide. The object is spectrally similar to the previously known threads, but unlike them has kinks along its length, and does not appear to be obviously connected with any active region that might be responsible for its generation.
