Photoelectric photometry of the nova V1500 Cygni is reported for 15 nights in September and October 1975. Differential UBV data are presented along with results of narrow- and wide-band H-beta observations as well as nightly means of the UBV differential magnitudes, the differential H-beta photometry, and the differential beta-prime index. Times of minimum and maximum are computed, and a best fit of 0.14090 day is determined for both minima and maxima of the short-term variations in the post-nova light curve. It is found that the narrow- and wide-band H-beta measures exhibit the same short-term oscillations as the UBV quantities, but a plot of the H-beta-prime light curve against the same period gives only a slight indication of variation across a cycle. The behavior of the short-term variation is shown to suggest that the system bears a close resemblance to the suspected old nova system TT Arietis. Application to V1500 Cygni of Arp's (1956) rate-of-decline vs peak-brightness relation for novae in M31 yields an absolute photographic magnitude at maximum light of -9.01, an intrinsic photographic apparent magnitude at maximum light of 0.37, a corrected distance modulus of 9.38, a distance of approximately 750 pc, and a prenova absolute photographic magnitude of at least 9.7.
