A description is given of an improvement of the digital correlator system for the lambda 8-cm radioheliograph at Toyokawa. In this improvement, the correlator modules by TTL IC's are replaced by VLSI chips which are designed for the Australia telescope. The volume and the power dissipation of the improved system is reduced to 1/27 and 1/4 comparing with the present correlator system. This system is a prototye of the correlator system for a new 17-GHz radioheliograph proposed by the solar radio group in Japan.
