A new analysis of the iron abundance in the bright red giant Epsilon Virginis indicates an essentially solar abundance, in good agreement with the abundance reported by Cayrel and Cayrel (1963). The analysis was based on electrographically recorded echelle spectra, and the method of analysis is described. Analysis of the spectroscopic gravity from the collisional damping of the Fe I 5269.55 A wavelength is explained.
