We present model calculating results for the continuum spectra of active galactic nuclei. The SUMA code has been updated and extended in order to include consistent calculations of grain temperature and grain sputtering inside the clouds of the narrow-line region (NLR). Silicate grains with a radius of 0.2 micron are adopted. The results are discussed and compared with the observational data. The best fit to the continuum spectra is obtained for Seyfert 2 galaxies, indicating that dust resides in the narrow-line region clouds.
