A matched filter is chosen to improve signal-to-noise ratio of radio sky maps. Supposing one point source model, on the one hand, for the signal, the filtering process is just to compute the cross-correlation function between the image and the beam of the point source. On the other hand, for the noise, it is a smoothing process and weighting factors are required. The sky area 1115+4300 from MSRT is selected for an experiment to design a practical flow chart.
