A disconnection event (DE) occurred in the plasma tail of Comet Halley on 1986 March 8. The aberration angle of the new main tail differed from that of the old one. In this paper, the old and new apparent aberration angles on our large scale photographs are determined using a photometricmethod and a transformation formula is given. With this formula the actual aberration angles are found. Finally, the results obtained are discussed.
