Many attempts have been made at getting magnitudes of celestial bodies by utilizing the Palomar Sky Survey plates. Since the plates have been digitized, and the Digitized Sky Survey (DSS) discs are available now, it will be more convenient to estimate the magnitude information from the DSS directly. The authors have developed a program for deriving celestial bodies' E or V magnitudes from the DSS. The rms for E and V magnitude determination are 0.37m (13.5m ≤ E ≤ 18.0m) and 0.42m (14.4m ≤ V ≤ 18.9m) respectively.
