A deep survey of an area of 0.00660 sterad overlapping the 5C2 region has been made at 4850 MHz to a limiting flux density of 17 mJy. The results of the survey are presented in the form of a map of the surveyed area and a list of sources together with their two-point spectral indices in several frequency ranges. It is found that a large systematic radial distance-flux density dependence in the Cambridge 408 MHz data, of the same magnitude as that found for the 5C6 survey, is present for the stronger sources. There is some indication that a similar effect is present in the WSRT data from the 5C2 area for both weaker and stronger sources. The source counts are presented and compared with those from other surveys made near 4850 MHz.
