Over the past decade Type Ia Supernovae (SN Ia) have emerged as astronomy's preeminent tool for tracing the dynamics of the cosmic expansion back in time. In 1998 SN Ia observations were used to discover an accelerating Universe, and are now being exploited to pin down the equation of state of the "Dark Energy" which seem to make up more than 70% of the Cosmos. I will review the successes, assumptions, and uncertainties in using these standardizable candles to look at Dark Energy.
