Several independent observations of the galactic centre suggest the presence of an energy source beyond currently known astrophysical mechanisms. I will outline how these observations may be explained through a model in which dark matter is composed of dense macroscopically large nuggets of ordinary quarks and antiquarks in a colour superconducting phase.
