The cross-correlation analysis of subpulse drift patterns in three pulsars observed at 408 and 1420 MHz reveals that, in the case of multicomponent pulsars (PSR 1237 + 25 and PSR 1919 + 21), subpulses do not drift smoothly across the pulse window. Instead, each pulse component appears to have a separate subband of drifting subpulses associated with it. The P3 period of these subbands is the same for all pulse components and is frequency independent. Similar effects are found in the subpulse drift pattern of PSR 0809 + 74 at 1420 MHz.
