An analysis of previous studies of the physical libration of the moon shows that discrepancies between results obtained in different studies are due to the poor separability of the unknowns and differences in reduction quantities. In the present study, a single reduction system is used and a new solution is obtained to the standard equations for only the unknowns directly connected with observed angular quantities. This approach yields selenographic coordinates lambda = - 5 deg 11 arcmin 52 arcsec + or - 1 arcsec, beta = -3 deg 11 arcmin 52 arcsec + or - 4 arcsec for the crater Mosting-A and an inclination of the Lunar equator to the ecliptic of I = 1 deg 32 arcmin 28 arcsec + or - 5 arcsec.
