Scientific paper

Observational data reveal that the visible matter in the universe is
concentrated in a sphere with a radius corresponding to a redshift of
about 5. A model accounting for this phenomenon is presented. The
cosmological evolution of the baryon island is discussed, as well as the
observational consequences of this hypothesis.
