An ID coordinate system is proposed for the study of diurnal geomagnetic
variations simultaneously at equatorial and middle latitudes; latitude
is replaced by inclination I and longitude is replaced by magnetic
meridians. Dependences of the diurnal variations of H, D, and Z on I are
presented; and a map of magnetic meridians is compiled.
