Improvements to the phase stability and sensitivity of the 8-cm radioheliograph at Toyokawa by the introduction of a low-noise front end receiver for each antenna and phase-stable coaxial cable for the transmission of reference frequency and IF signals have made necessary a central system for the control of the complex distributed radioheliograph system. The present paper presents a description of the control system, which consists of two microprocessors controlling the back end receivers, and the second IF and front end receivers, respectively. Main tasks of the system are the routine control and monitoring of the total system, and the execution of simple tests. The maintenance, modification and extension of system hardware and software are easily performed due to the standardization of interfaces.
