The H II region IC 1396 has been mapped in the radio continuum at 2695
MHz with a half power beamwidth of 4'.4. The sensitivity of the present
observations greatly exceeds that of previous work. Both the angular
resolution and the observing frequency are the highest yet employed in
mapping the complete nebula.
