Spinning tethered structures can be deployed to kilometric sizes while providing a spiral path suitable for efficient aperture synthesis. Calculations of the dynamic behavior of a rigidified spinning interferometer which is composed of six tethered telescopes, are presented. A static test made with the telescope suspended on wires is described. Using six cables per telescope, it appeared possible to control such structures with the accuracy required for interferometry. With its operational advantages, the concept is considered an attractive candidate for large interferometers in space.
