The bivariate radio luminosity function for spiral galaxies has been derived. It shows that higher radio powers are found for galaxies of higher optical luminosity. The dependence of the radio emission on various optical parameters (i.e. Hubble classification, luminosity class, etc.) is examined. From the comparison of the radio emission properties of group and field galaxies, there is an indication that galaxies in groups have a lower probability of being radio sources than field galaxies.
