The selection of a complete sample of 91 radio galaxies from the Parkes 2.7 GHz survey in the declination range -17 to -40 deg is described, and VLA observations of all sample members are presented together with data for several from other radio observatories. The sample is intermediate in radio luminosity, with an optical limit of mv = 17.0 mag and a radio limit of 0.25 Jy at 2.7 GHz.
