We have undertaken a multi-waveband survey to inter-compare star formation and dust extinction diagnostics, on a galaxy-by-galaxy basis, for a UV-selected sample. Although the UV continuum, H-alpha and 1.4GHz radio emission correlate reasonably well, the scatter observed indicates possible non-uniform star formation histories and luminosity-dependent extinction. Our results therefore suggest there may be significant uncertainties when deriving cosmic star formation histories from any individual diagnostic.
