The Pioneer Venus Orbiter's electron temperature probe functioned as a photodiode over a 13-year period, measuring the integrated solar EUV (Ipe) flux at a time that coincided with the declining phase of solar cycle 21 and the cycle 22 rising phase. A study is here conducted of the fine in the solar activity variations of this flux, by translating the observed Ipe to the solar longitude of the Earth and comparing it with other solar activity indicators.
