The relative accuracy and robustness of methods for determining the position of the centers of globular clusters are investigated using a testbed of artificial clusters. A new method has been developed for determining the cluster centers, and simulations show that this method is both robust, and more accurate than methods previously used. The (formal) error bars quoted in preceding studies are shown to be under-estimates of the true errors. The position of the center of prototypical clusters like NGC 7006, with a core radius of 20 sec, can be determined with an accuracy of 1 sec, using the new method.
