Comprehensive solutions for the earth's gravitational potential are compared by means of the power spectra of the harmonic coefficients. Thirteen earth models are tested. In addition to the power spectrum, the difference of the power spectra, the percentage difference between coefficients, and Kaula's rule are evaluated. Most of the models represent a combined solution of satellite and terrestrial gravity data. The power spectrum is divided into low-frequency and higher-frequency parts for future evaluations. It is concluded that the agreement among various solutions, tested on the basis of the lumped coefficients as well as by means of the power spectra, is not very satisfactory.
