There are several methods that have been used to adjust Verification Load Cycle (VLC) spacecraft structural dynamic models. These methods include sine vibration (sine-vibe or base-shake) testing, mode survey testing, and static stiffness testing. A comparison of mode survey testing to sine-vibe testing will be made. The focus of the comparison will be on excitation levels and boundary conditions and their effect on modal parameter estimates, and the differences in model correlation techniques. Illustrative examples will be provided.
