The paper reports a comparative study of the 1066 A and PREM earth models from the perspective of the elastic deformation of the earth. The purpose of the study is to obtain conclusions that may be used for reference in the construction of a standard earth model (SEM). Values of the static Love numbers from degree 2 to 30 are calculated, the influence of the second-degree Love numbers of the variation of the position of the core-mantle boundary, the seismic speeds in the lower mantle, and the density and rigidity in the partial region are discussed. It is recommended that SEM should include two kinds of models - oceanless and with an oceanic surface.
