Electron density profiles determined from Langmuir probe data and neutral wind components derived from meteor radar data in the altitude range from 90 to 130 km are compared. Irregularities in the electron density are apparently connected with the neutral wind. Possible mechanisms by which the neutral wind could enhance electron density are discussed.
