Scientific paper

Methods of short-term forecasting of the solar radio emission index F10.7 and long-term forecasting of the background emission index Fφ (radio flux from undisturbed solar surface) are described and compared with the inertial method. In the case of lack of data F10.7 indices may be calculated on the basis of data obtained at the observatories at Simferopol (3100 MHz) and Moscow (3000 MHz).
