Several periodicities have been revealed by performing a Vanicek (1969, 1971) method spectral analysis on the homogeneous rotational data set (UT 1-TA) BIH for the period 1962.0-1978.9, and a similar analysis of solar emission at 2800 MHz indicates significant analogies between rotation and solar activity. A possible seasonal term amplitude modulation effect was also investigated, in view of various peaks recorded in the 0.7-2.2 year range in the rotational data spectrum.
