Initiated at the end of 1985 UV observations of comet Halley on board the ASTRON station (Boyarchuk et al., 1986) were continued in 1986. For four dates of observations - April 2, 9, 26 and June 27 - models of the hydroxyl coma of the comet have been calculated and the water production rate Qwater is determined. The comparative analysis of data obtained before and after perihelion shows the asymmetry in the Qwater behaviour; the phenomenon is discussed. The plausible evolution of comet Halley is considered shortly.
