In this work we present evidence for central abundance enhancement in Abell 2199. We also compare the radial abundance distributions of Abell 2199 and Abell 496 based on the analysis of spatially resolved ASCA spectra. The objective of this comparative analysis is to attempt to discriminate between stellar mass-loss and ram-pressure stripping as the main mechanism for injecting heavy metals into the intracluster medium in the central regions. Our approach is based on a comparison of Fe mass and gas mass radial distributions taking into account the spatial distribution of individual abundances of different alpha-elements.
