In continuation of the work of Abt (1983) a study of Indian Astronomers' publication patterns is made. The pattern is found to be similar to that obtained by Abt. An explanation for the curve of variation of most cited work with age, based on individual and coanthored works (in later ages with junior colleagues), is suggested. The suggestion is further investigated by a study of the Indian Astronomers' principal and coauthor publications over their active working age. A suggestion is made that most often, the most productive age tends to be between 30 and 45, indicated by maximum single or principal authored publications during this age interval. In joint authored publications, two peaks, one at an age of 26-28 and another broad peak at an age of about 26-48 is seen.
