Castor's comoving-frame equation of transfer is re-derived retaining a term omitted from one of the coefficients in his metric. This term is important when the flow changes significantly on time scales Δt ˜ Δr/c, so that the fluid acceleration is comparable with cv/r or c(dv/dr). When the term is retained, terms that depend on the acceleration now appear in the coefficients of Castor's transfer equation, in agreement with independent derivations by Buchler and Mihalas.
