It is pointed out that excited states of He-4 cannot produce gamma ray
line emission of astrophysical significance, contrary to a recent
suggestion of Reina et al. (1974). The only possible gamma-ray lines in
He-4 are above 25 MeV, but their excitation cross sections appear to be
so small that they are probably of little astrophysical significance.
