We present the longest NIR light curves of Sgr A* reported so far achieved by combining VLT and Keck data. One common night fortuitously had also simultaneous Chandra X-ray and SMA millimeter observations. We show that very long light curves are needed for a meaningful cross-correlation analysis between the NIR- and mm-regime, and clarify the reported time lags between both wavelengths. Furthermore, we present timing analysis of the NIR light curves that leads to the conclusion that no persistent quasi-periodic oscillation is detectable. This, together with recent refined intrinsic source measurements from submm VLBI, constrains proposed models of relativistically orbiting inhomogeneities in the accretion flow onto Sgr A*.
