A photographic method of plotting a colorimetric map of the moon in the spectral region 0.62-0.95 micron is described. The equidensity method was used to analyze an image obtained by the summation of eight color-separated images. The intrinsic error of color-index measurement on the map is 5% (sigma) for craters 3-10 arcsec in diameter and for the moon's limb zone (1-2 arcmin), 1.5% for regions of not greater than 0.5 lunar radii, and 2.3% for regions of not greater than 1.5 lunar radii. The map's isolines are standardized according to McCord's photoelectric measurements of lunar details. The rms sigma of comparison of the map's color indices and McCord's measurements is approximately 3%.
