A rough colorimetric chart of the lunar disk is presented which was constructed with the aid of an equidensiometric technique from photographic observations performed at wavelengths of 0.75 and 0.95 micron. The chart indicates that: (1) 'redder' features in maria usually correspond to low-albedo regions; (2) the 'bluest' features are mostly craters and associated rays; (3) 'blue' features tend to be brighter in highlands; (4) most ray craters are 'blue', but the Copernicus and Kepler systems are 'red'; (5) many 'red' regions in highlands have high albedos; (6) the distribution of IR color index in maria is similar to the albedo distribution, with the 'reddest' and 'bluest' regions having the lowest and highest albedos, respectively; and (7) the distribution of IR color index in the Copernicus region differs sharply from the albedo distribution. The maximum color-index differential is estimated to be about 10%. It is noted that ray craters, which appear 'blue' relative to the surrounding surface, are the features of highest contrast in highlands.
