Photometry in B and V of 103 stars in the region of the globular cluster NGC 6535 yields a color-magnitude diagram with a moderately steep giant branch, a steeply sloping blue horizontal branch, and an absence of a red horizontal branch. The apparent distance modulus and the distance from the sun are determined. The color-magnitude diagram morphology indicates moderately low metallicity; the two RR Lyrae variables in the field have magnitudes inappropriate for cluster membership.
