Apollo orbital geochemical data and information from cratering processes are examined in order to determine the probable chemical and petrologic structure of the lunar crust. The composition of the basin ejecta is also evaluated, and it is estimated as being a noritic component. The lunar crustal model developed is described. It is determined that the bulk composition of the lunar crust is anorthositic norite; the upper crust is composed of an anorthositic gabbor, and the lower lunar crust contains noritic components.
