Further observations of RY Sgr have shown that, since 1985, the star has been pulsating with a shorter period than the previously determined period. The observed times of maxima on the pulsation-related light curve can be satisfied by a linear solution. The earlier conclusion that the pulsation period variations of RY Sgr can be satisfied by a series of linear solutions remains appropriate. If the time taken for the star to adjust to the new period is similar to that observed before, i.e., 15-20 cycles, then a revision of the previous linear solution is required.
