Observations made with the Chandra X-ray Observatory have been remarkably successful in identifying large numbers of discrete X-ray sources in nearby galaxies. In addition, the excellent angular resolution capabilities of Chandra have proved very useful in clearly identifying counterparts at different wavelengths (such as optical and radio) for these detected X-ray sources. We present the results of a 50 kilosecond Chandra observation of the nearby Sculptor Group Sd galaxy NGC 7793: we have observed this galaxy as part of a multi-wavelength campaign to search for supernova remnants in nearby galaxies. Properties of the discrete X-ray sources detected in this galaxy will be presented: we will also describe our search for optical and radio counterparts to the detected X-ray sources.
