Scientific paper

This paper presents a homogeneous collection of near infrared spectra of galactic WN and WC stars. Data acquisition and data handling procedures are discussed before representative tracings of nearly every subtype are shown. These are followed by identification tables for N and C ions as well as tables giving quantitative information on a selected sample of spectra. A general discussion of the data stresses the contributions of the survey presented to the visible classification of Wolf-Rayet stars.
