We present a discovery of a bright (R = 22) Lyman break galaxy (LBG) at z = 3.03 that appears to be a massive LBG in the late stages of merging. Deep images reveal that this system has multiple bright peaks angularly separated by 0.6 arcsec, corresponding to 20 h_70 kpc. We have obtained moderate-resolution, high-signal-to-noise ratio longslit spectra with Keck using multiple position angles. The individual spectra show variation with position and appear to sample different sightlines through the IGM. The composite spectrum displays two strong Ly-α emission peaks separated by 550 km/sec along with complex absorption-line profiles that exhibit gas absorbing up to 2000 km/sec.
